An independent, family-owned corporation based in Dublin, N.H., Yankee Publishing Incorporated is widely known as publisher of and , two of the most enduring sources of New England's image of itself. First published in 1935, has adapted creatively to changing tastes and market demands to remain vital for over seventy-five years, while enjoys the distinction of being one of the oldest continuously published periodicals in America. Since the 1980s, Yankee has branched out into other regional and specialty publications, though its flagships remain the heart of the business. The records of Yankee Publishing detail the founding and growth of a notable family-owned corporation and its remarkable survival in age of media conglomeration.
